FOKKER E-III EINDECKER   

KIT DE PROCTOR   

Este blog pretende únicamente documentar la construcción de un modelo del Fokker EIII Eindekker, avión monoplano y monoplaza alemán de la Primera Guerra Mundial, armado con una LMG 08/15 o una Schwarzlose. Este avión fue el primero en emplear una ametralladora con la secuencia de disparo sincronizada con la hélice, lo que para la época (1914 - 1918) era absolutamente revolucionario.

Lo más "interesante" de este avión es que no utiliza alerones, sino un sistema de poleas y cables que "tuercen" las alas. Este sistema viene también implantado en el modelo.

El kit a partir del cual se va a construir el modelo es el de PROCTOR. La calidad del kit es FANTÁSTICA y los planos son una obra de arte. todo absolutamente detallado y a escala 1-1, donde no es necesario adivinar nada. De todas maneras, muchas cosas (en especial detalles) se van a construir y a fabricar a partir de materiales que pueden encontrarse fácilmente en cualquier buena tienda de aeromodelismo, o pueden pedirse por correo.

Posiblemente, aunque aún no lo he decidido del todo, el modelo terminado se verá como éste:

Para cubrirlo, el Solartex es el indicado, pues tela y dope están fuera de discusión debido a la rigidez que impediría la torsión de las alas.

No pretendo mostrar nada de la construcción como si fuera el mejor método ni la forma "correcta" de hacer algo, sino simplemente la forma que considero mejor para mí y para mi manera de trabajar.

Si surgen cosas que ameriten un video, seguramente intentaré incluirlo. 

Habiendo dicho esto, amigo lector, ármese de paciencia pues esta aventura va para largo. Además de que el trabajo me quita mucho tiempo de trabajo en el taller, la construcción del modelo es en algunas partes muy complicada y en otras, muy engorrosa. Sin embargo, espero que me acompañe durante el tiempo que dure la construcción hasta los primeros vuelos.

This blog pretends only documentong the construction of a Proctor Fokker EIII Eindekker, German WWI single seater monoplane armed with a LMG 08/15 or a Schwarzlose. This was the first plane using a machine gun with the shooting sequence synchronized with the propeller, which for that time (1914 - 1918) was absolutely revolucionary.

The most "interesting" feature of this plane is that it does not use ailerons, but a system of pulleys and cables that "twists" the wings. This system has also been implemented in the model.

The Proctor kit's quality is fantastic and plans are a work of art. Absolutely everything is detailed and 1:1 scale where nothing is left for guessing. However, many things will be built from scratch (especially details) using materials readily available from a good model supplier that may be ordered by mail.

Possibly, even though I have not yet decided, the plane will look like the one in the pictures:

For covering, Solartex is appropriate, as fabric and dope would be too tight and rigid for wing twisting.

I am not pretending to show anything in the construction as the best method or "right" way to do anything, but as the method I find better for me and for the way I work.

Should there be anuything that could be shown better in video, I will probably make one. 

Now, please be patient as this adventure will take quite some time. Besides the fact that my work takes time away form my time at the workshop, building this model may be quite cumbersome in some parts. However, I hope you will be with me from now on to the first flights.
